New Scout Information

Welcome to Pack 671!

We look forward to getting to know you and your new Cub Scout. We’ve assembled some information that will help you get started –

If your son is in 1st grade, he’s a Tiger Cub. 2nd graders are Wolf Scouts. 3rd Graders are Bear Scouts. 4th Graders are Webelos 1. 5th graders are Webelos 2, more recently called Arrow of Light. Your son’s Den number does not change as he progresses through the program, however we employ several so it’s best to check with your son’s leader to make sure you have the correct number.

For his uniform, you will need to purchase:

Blue, short sleeve uniform shirt for Tiger, Wolf and Bear ranks
Beige, short sleeve uniform shirt for Webelos 1 and 2 rank
Neckerchief for your rank
Slide for your rank
Purple World Crest patch (sewn about 2 inches) above the left pocket
Northeast Illinois Council shoulder patch (sewn on left sleeve shoulder seam)
Den number patch (sewn on right sleeve, just below the American Flag)
Red patch vest (we recommend size L or XL to wear through 5th grade)
